Ms. Isha Jha became fascinated by the human mind and human behaviour at an early stage in her life which led her to later pursue a masters degree in psychology from Mumbai. Eventually learning many techniques like, hypnotherapy, EFT, and family constellation to further her understanding of the subject and finding the right tools to help her in work. She is also one of the few NLP(neuro-linguistic programming) trainers in India who has been instructed in Europe by the founder of NLP, John Grinder himself. In her last 13 years of practice; having pursued her education and training both in India and Europe she combines both eastern understanding and western tools to educate, train and help people in an individual as well in groups sessions. She has touched many lives and empowered numerous people in achieving their dreams and leading a fulfilling life. She has been interviewed by many magazines and channels for her expertise. She also runs an NGO Yes I Can which works relentlessly in the betterment of psychological and emotional well-being of children and adults. Dr. Isha Jha is the founder of MindOcean a pioneer in the field of psychology in Pune and a leading psychologist trainer, Life Coach, Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist, Member of the IMDHA (International Medical & Dental Hypnosis Association) and an NLP practitioner.

Shriya Joshi

Shriya has been working with us as a freelance writer for the last 2 years. Having completed her Masters in 2007, Shriya, has been actively working in the field of humanities, assisting her help to various NGO`s in Mumbai and Pune. She is a Certified Counsellor having done her Counselling with Transactional Analysis Programme. Ira has always loved working with children of all age groups. Ira believes in diversity and inclusion. She did her post-graduate diploma in medicine and treatment for the handicapped. She has also worked for twelve years as a remedial, inclusive educator. Her curiosity for the mind and the role it plays in the development of a healthy individual led her to further study. She finished a three-year observation training in psychoanalysis in Mumbai and another diploma in counseling and psychology for children in Pune. Ira feels it is important to be able to communicate and get a better understanding of one’s emotions to be able to cope with today’s paradigm shift in how children see themselves and the environment they are currently growing and learning from. She has a wide range of training from Arts-based Therapy, to making thinking visible from Project Zero, the Harvard Graduate school of Education. Ira firmly believes that it is important to teach children life skills at an early age so that they can navigate through school and life. The 21st-century life skills are flexibility, initiative, social skills, productivity, and leadership. All processes like decision making, goal setting, and effective communication are bound by a common thread – the Ability to sort through our emotions so that we can make better decisions, goals and communicate better. “Play therapy is a vital opportunity that is given to the child to play out his feelings and problems – his fears, hatred, loneliness, and feelings of failure and inadequacy.” The child helps to discover themselves and learns to trust and share without the fear of judgment. She also likes to use Art, Music, and storytelling to express and work through difficult emotions.
